About me

My name is Ammar Suhail. I’m a physiotherapist by choice. I’m a musculoskeletal specialist physiotherapist. Currently, I am a Doctoral Researcher at Ulster University, examining how health service pathways influence patient outcomes following total knee arthroplasty. My work focuses on mapping and analysing the patient journey to understand how systems of care shape recovery, quality of life, and longer-term outcomes, drawing on expertise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and qualitative research.

Alongside my academic work, I bring over five years of experience as a freelance healthcare blogger, creating evidence-based content that bridges research and clinical practice. Through this work, I engage with a global audience of clinicians and researchers, with a strong commitment to advancing physiotherapy education, promoting evidence-informed care, and supporting sustainable rehabilitation practices across diverse healthcare settings

I have experience working with various musculoskeletal disorders. I love reading books and enjoy clicking photos. Check out the different content at https://linktr.ee/suhailphysio and

I’m from India. I graduated from Jamia Hamdard University and did my specialisation (MPT) in Orthopaedics at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. I love reading research and am currently working on a few qualitative research projects alongside my PhD Project.

I have a keen interest in translating research into practice! I am a contributor to thecuriousphysios, an initiative to share research with the masses.
